Double Row Tapered Roller Bearings

Double-row tapered roller bearings are suitable for heavy radial and axial loads, thanks to the second row of rolling elements. The axial bearing capacity of tapered roller bearings increases with the increasing contact angle. These bearings are characterised by a high degree of stiffness.

Bearings can also be supplied with a spacer ring between the inner segments. They are produced in metric and inch dimensions. Double-row tapered roller bearings are typically used in gearboxes, hoisting equipment, rolling mills and mining machinery.

Variants:

  • KBE (TDO) – double outer ring and two simple inner rings. The set allows stiff arrangement and accommodation of considerable tilting moments.
  • KF (TNA) – double-row, not adjustable, available with predetermined clearance.
  • KH, KDH (TDI) – double inner ring and two simple outer rings. Usually with an intermediate ring between the two outer rings as a pre-set assembly with the predetermined axial clearance or preload.

Bearing series: KBE (TDO), KF (TNA), KH / KDH (TDI), AR (těsněná)

Additional: Acron

Double row tapered roller bearings have one row of rollers which sit between a tapered inner and outer raceway. Their tapered contact angle allows them to support both radial and axial thrust loads simultaneously.

The two rows of tapered rollers give the bearing an outstanding load capacity, making these bearings one of the most robust.

These bearings have a low friction design, which reduces the running temperature of the bearing, increasing efficiency and prolonging the life of the bearing.

Double row tapered roller bearings are commonly used in gearboxes, rolling mills and hoisting equipment, particularly in the mining and quarrying industry.
